Enquiry information ↗

Built around the recurring responsibilities seen in commercial credit-control roles: accurate invoices, early contact, clear accounts, realistic payment promises and useful reporting.

Important: This is a free educational self-assessment. It does not transmit your answers, produce a credit rating or establish that Avencrest is currently offering paid audits.

12-question process check

For each statement, select how consistently your business performs the activity. This is a general operational self-check, not a credit score, regulatory audit or assessment of any individual.

1. Are customer terms, invoice dates, purchase orders and billing details checked before invoices go out?
2. Are contracting entities and authorised accounts-payable contacts verified?
3. Do you check receipt and payment readiness before the due date on significant invoices?
4. Is the aged-debt ledger reviewed at least weekly with named account owners?
5. Are calls, reminders and customer replies logged consistently?
6. Are disputed invoices assigned to someone who can resolve the underlying issue?
7. Are promised payment dates followed up against actual bank receipts?
8. Are receipts, credit notes and partial payments reconciled to the correct invoices promptly?
9. Are overdue balances reviewed against credit limits and known customer payment risk?
10. Do customers receive accurate statements or clear balance summaries where appropriate?
11. Are expected customer payments and significant missed promises shared with finance leaders?
12. Do you track ageing movement, disputed balances and actual receipts alongside call activity?

What comes after a self-assessment?

If weak areas appear, finance teams can clarify ownership, select a small improvement pilot and measure whether invoices are paid more predictably. Avencrest proposes a structured credit-management review when its operational service is launched.
